TEMPORARY GENERAL MUSIC TEACHER
Eagleview Elementary, Adams 12 Five Star Schools
January 2017-May 2017

  • Reorganized the program and implemented Colorado State Standards for music.  
  • Planned, arranged music for, and executed fourth and fifth grade Elemental concert and field trip to the Arvada Center for the Arts.  
  • Assisted in teaching music for third grade Fifty States show. 
  • Directed a flight class after school in recorder.

  • Successfully tripled the size of the band program.
  • Redesigned standards and curriculum to suit the school and students for all grades K-5 general music and 5-8 band, using a combination of the Colorado State Standards, Common Core Curriculum, Core Knowledge Curriculum, and National Standards for Music Education. 
  • Planned and executed orchestra visits, field trips, Read-A-Thon fundraiser.  
  • Co-directed the third grade musicals in fall 2014 and spring 2016.  Assisted with and/or judged the talent show and spelling bee.

  • Fridays teaching general music at St. Thomas Aquinas Mission School in Philadelphia, PA (grades Pre-K through 8).  Student videos selected by Disney for the anniversary celebration of "it's a small world" attraction.
